How Does the Three-way Control Valve Control the Temperature?

In our life, valves are used in many places, for example, control valve used in thermal power plant is common. Such as faucets, some three-way control valves are used. This kind of valve is practical, but many people can't figure out one thing, that is, how does the three-way control valve control the temperature? Today, UTMOST will introduce to you what the three-way control valve is, how it works, and help you learn more about control valve solution. In addition to three-way control valves, there are other types of control valves such as eccentric rotary valve and fluorine lined control valve in UTMOST.

1. Working principle of three-way control valve

The reaction heat transfer oil pump sends the heated heat transfer oil through the three-way valve, part of which is sent to the waste heat boiler; the other part enters the fluidized bed reactor. The flow of the two parts is distributed by the spool of the three-way control valve synchronously and reversely adjusting the opening of the A and B outlets of the three-way valve. This flow adjustment method has no throttling, and the flow resistance is small. Relatively small, no back pressure on the pump, so that the heat transfer oil flow of the heat transfer oil pump remains constant.

In the production process of organosilicon monomer, the reaction part is the key, and the control of the reactor will directly affect the output and quality of the final product - methyl monomer. Since the synthesis reaction of methyl monomer is an exothermic reaction, the operating temperature of the synthesis reaction needs to be controlled at about 300°C. Therefore, the excess heat should be removed in time to ensure the smooth progress of the reaction. There is no doubt that it is different from other valves including china double eccentric butterfly valve, automatic knife gate valve and wholesale triple offset butterfly valve.

2. Three-way control valve temperature control principle

In view of the importance and criticality of the reaction control, a cascaded regulation system with sensitive response, fast adjustment speed and stable control performance is adopted for the control of the reactor. The reactor temperature is used as the main adjustment parameter, the heat transfer oil temperature at the reactor inlet is used as the auxiliary adjustment parameter, and the two three-way control valves, are used as the adjusted objects of the auxiliary loop. When the flow and temperature of the heat transfer oil fluctuate, the sub-regulator is adjusted immediately, and the amount of heat transfer oil to the waste heat boiler and heat transfer oil cooler is changed through the change of opening to achieve the purpose of not affecting the temperature of the reactor.

If the heat transfer oil flow rate and temperature change greatly, which will affect the change of the reactor inlet temperature and the reactor temperature, then the output of the main regulator will start to change. For the secondary regulator, it will accept the difference between the given value and the measured value. The change in aspect speeds up the adjustment process, but the adjustment process is still realized by changing the opening. In addition to controlling the temperature of the fluidized bed reactor through the cascade control loop, it is also regulated by the reflux flow rate of the reaction heat conduction oil pump, which speeds up the regulation process.

After reading the above introduction, will you still ask how the three-way control valve controls the temperature? Three-way control valves are often encountered in our lives, and understanding this knowledge will be of great help to future life.
